Intense ruby-violet, this Black Feteasca enchants us with aromas reminiscent of freshly picked fruits, blueberries, black and red currants. In the taste and aftertaste, the savory notes of black fruits are complemented by those of vanilla and spices. The robust, but at the same time fine structure is a special support of the aromas and gives the wine length and elegance.
It is a wine whose complexity pleasantly surprises after the first olfactory impression, reminiscent of cranberries, plums and cocoa. The elegant attack is followed by a long, enveloping aftertaste that takes you from candied fruit to dark chocolate.
To highlight its special character, season it with the most complex culinary preparations of beef, mutton or game, with delicious sauces. It is also excellent with Romanian-specific meat dishes, including the most spicy ones.
It is worth trying alongside pork ribs marinated in barbeque sauce and well tenderized in the oven, perfecting these chosen dishes with spicy sauces and aged cheeses.
For a full tasting experience, we recommend serving the wine at a temperature of 12 – 16°C, with an hour’s prior aeration.
